Over the years I’ve personally come to love fast escooters. Back home in the US, faster escooters are more widley available, however there are some fast escooters available in Dubai. One escooter I’ve seen in the US, however I wish would come to Dubai is the Dualtron X2 UP. This escooter, when it comes to speed, specs, features and almost anything you can think of, is the best out there in my opinion. In this review I’ll go over some of my favorite features of this scooter, and some alternatives that are available in Dubai.

Performance

The X2’s performs as one of the best escooters on the market. Firstly, the battery on the Dualtron X2 is unlike any other. It features dual motors that often generate up to 3,300 watts each, for a total output of 6,600 watts. As expected, this amount of power allows for an insane top speed and acceleration on the escooter. The Dualtron X2 can reach speeds of 100 km, and has no issues with steep inclines or heavier rider weights. The exact numbers for acceleration aren’t provided by the manufacturer, but from personal experience, the acceleration of the X2 is not for the weak. I’ve clocked 0-50 km in 5 seconds with the X2. The suspension on the escooter is also one of the best I’ve ever encountered. The X2’s has hydraulic suspension that is also adjustable. It provides a smoother ride than most escooters, even at extremely high speeds. The X2’s performance is truly like no other, combining raw power with cutting-edge technology to deliver a riding experience that's both exhilarating and reliable. Its ability to tackle various terrains with ease, coupled with its impressive speed and endurance, sets it apart in the world of high-performance escooters.

Design

When it comes to design, the X2, and really almost every Dualtron escooter lacks a stylish sleek look. It makes sense, as the components for such a high performance are big and bulky, making the escooter appear as such. The only escooter that I’ve seen that has a comparable performance with a good-looking design is the Inokim OXO, however, the specs on the OXO are not as good as the Dualtron X2. One cool design feature the X2 does have are controllable RGB lights on the stem and deck. You can change the lights on the stem and on the deck, making for a cool look. All in all, the Dualtron X2 does possess a more industrial and rugged look. If you’re looking for a sleeker and more stylish scooter, the X2 is not for you.

Portability

The X2 is a heavy scooter. It does have a folding mechanism which can be useful for putting it a car, or storing it in one’s garage, however I wouldn’t recommend the X2 if you’re commute is multi-modal, or generally would have to fold it up and carry it often. The escooter weighs 66 kg, which can be a bit heavy for some. There are other escooters I would recommend that are a bit more portable, like a Lamborghini, Jeep or Ducati escooter, however the performance on these escooters is significantly less that the X2. Generally, a higher performance means a heavier escooter, so a lighter escooter would compromise on the performance. If you use the X2 for commuting, or going from place to place, I would totally recommend it, as it fairs well on any road, however, I would not recommend the X2 for multi-modal travel.

The Dualtron X2 escooter is renowned by many for its industry leading speed, battery, suspension and overall performance. I love having a scooter such as the X2, as it makes for a fun fast ride. If high performance isn’t for you, or you want something lighter and more portable, I completely understand, and there are other escooters with similar performance and lighter weights. All in all, the Dualtron X2 is one of the best on the market and I would say it is worth the hype!
